W styczniu w sopockim Art Inkubatorze zagości wybitny francuski artysta wizualny Clément Cogitore. 18 stycznia, o godzinie 18 odbędzie się otwarty dla publiczności wykład mistrzowski, w trakcie którego artysta opowie o swoim wieloletnim doświadczeniu w pracy jako twórca filmów i wideo, podzieli się fragmentami ostatnich prac i omówi główne wątki swojej praktyki artystycznej. Spotkanie odbędzie się w języku angielskim i będzie moderowane przez Alka Hudzika.
Wstęp wolny.
Dla szerokiej publiczności przygotowaliśmy również pokaz filmów artysty. Zaprezentujemy:
– 16 stycznia „Neither Heaven Nor Earth” z 2015 – godzina 18.00 (polskie napisy)
– 17 stycznia „Bielutin” z 2011 (angielskie napisy) i „Braguino” z 2017 (polskie napisy) – godzina 18.00
Wstęp na wszystkie seanse jest bezpłatny.
Pokaz filmów odbędzie się dzięki uprzejmości Artysty, Chantal Crousel Consulting, Paris; Galerie Elisabeth i Reinhard Hauff, Stuttgart.
W ramach programu sztuk wizualnych w 2023 roku w Goyki 3 Cogitore spotka się również z małą grupą studentów, aby skonsultować ich portfolia. Aby zgłosić chęć udziału w portfolio review proszę zapoznać się ze szczegółami poniżej. Spośród zgłoszeń zostaną wybrane trzy osoby, które odbędą konsultacje z artystą w Sopocie w dniu 18 stycznia 2023 roku. Konsultacje odbędą się w języku angielskim.

Clement Cogitore
Po studiach w Le Fresnoy, francuskim Narodowym Studiu Sztuki Współczesnej, Clément Cogitore rozwinął swoją praktykę artystyczną na skrzyżowaniu sztuki współczesnej i kina. Łącząc film, wideo, instalacje i fotografie, Cogitore kwestionuje sposoby współżycia między ludzkością a jej własnymi obrazami i reprezentacjami. Rytualność, pamięć zbiorowa, figuracja sacrum, jak również szczególna idea przenikania się światów są wiodącymi trendami w jego praktyce.
Prace Cogitore były pokazywane i wystawiane m.in. w Palais de Tokyo, MADRE (Neapol), Centre Georges Pompidou (Paryż), Institute of Contemporary Arts ICA (Londyn), Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Berlin), MACRO (Rzym), MoMA (Nowy Jork), Museum of Fine Arts (Boston), MNBA (Québec), SeMA Bunker (Seul), Red Brick Art Museum (Pekin), Kunsthaus Baselland (Bazylea). W 2011 roku Cogitore otrzymał główną nagrodę Salon de Montrouge w dziedzinie sztuki współczesnej, a rok później został rezydentem Villa Medici, Akademii Francuskiej w Rzymie. Jego prace filmowe były wybierane i nagradzane na wielu międzynarodowych festiwalach (Cannes, Locarno, Telluride, Los Angeles, San Sebastian).
W 2018 roku, Clément Cogitore otrzymał prestiżową nagrodę Marcela Duchampa w dziedzinie sztuki współczesnej. Od 2018 roku wykłada w Ecole des Beaux Arts de Paris, gdzie kieruje swoją własna pracownią filmową.

Zapraszamy wszystkich chętnych studentów i studentki pracujących z wideo, filmem i działaniami multimedialnymi do zgłaszania się na indywidualne konsultacje portfolio z Clémentem Cogitore.
W trakcie konsultacji Cogitore zapozna się z pracami studentów i porozmawia o możliwościach rozwoju praktyki.

Goyki 3 Art Inkubator is pleased to announce the masterclass with French visual artist – Clément Cogitore.
On January 18 at 6 pm the artist will host a masterclass open to the public, during which the artist will talk about his extended experience as a film and video artist, share excerpts from recent works and discuss the main themes of his artistic practice. The meeting will be held in English and moderated by Alek Hudzik.
Two days before – on Monday 16.01 and Tuesday 17.01 – we will present three films of the artists in the following order:
– 16.01 ‘Neither Heaven Nor Earth” (2015) – 6pm (Polish and English subtitles)
– 17.01 ‘Bielutin’ (2011, English subtitles) and ‘Braguino’ (2017, Polish and English subtitles) – 6pm

As part of the 2023 visual arts program at Goyki 3, Cogitore will also meet with a small group of students to consult on their portfolios. To apply for the portfolio review, please see the details below. Three students will be selected among the applications to hold a consultation with the artist in Sopot on January 18, 2023. Clément Cogitore
After studying at Le Fresnoy, the French National Studio of Contempory Art, Clément Cogitore developed his artistic practice at the crossroads of contemporary art and cinema. Combining film, video, installations and photographs, Cogitore questions the modalities of cohabitation between humankind and its own images and representations. Rituality, collective memory, figuration of the sacred, as well as a particular idea of the permeability of worlds are leading trends in his practice.
Cogitore’s work has notably been screened and exhibited at the Palais de Tokyo, MADRE (Naples), Centre Georges Pompidou (Paris), Institute of Contemporary Arts ICA (London), Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Berlin), MACRO (Rome), MoMA (New-York), Museum of Fine Arts (Boston), MNBA (Québec), SeMA Bunker (Seoul), Red Brick Art Museum (Beijing), Kunsthaus Baselland (Basel). In 2011 Cogitore was awarded the Grand Prize of Salon de Montrouge for contemporary art and the following year he became resident of the Villa Medici, French Academy in Rome. His cinematographic works have been selected and awarded prizes in numerous international festivals (Cannes, Locarno, Telluride, Los Angeles, San Sebastian).
In 2018, Clément Cogitore was awarded the prestigious Marcel Duchamp Prize for Contemporary Art. Since 2018, he is teaching at the Ecole des Beaux Arts de Paris, where he directs a film director’s workshop.

We invite all interested students working with video, film and multimedia activities to apply for a one-on-one portfolio review with Clément Cogitore. During the consultation, Cogitore will review the students’ work and talk about opportunities for practice development.
