French residency | Visual arts

As part of the collaboration between Goyki 3 and the French Institute in Warsaw, the third edition of short art residencies for French visual artists will take place in the first part of March. The profile of the residency is focused on research – deepening the study of the issues taken up in the projects, as well as contact with nature and the history of Sopot, in reference to Goyki 3 visual arts theme for the year, which in 2025 is dedicated to variety of aspects of labor.

Among the 31 submissions, the jury composed of: Kasia Sobczak (Goyki 3 Art Inkubator), Beata Kowalska and Nicolas Boisselier (French Institute in Warsaw) selected the project proposals presented by Camille Demirian.

About artist:

Born in 1996, lives and works in Paris. Camille Demirian studied Philosophy at the Sorbonne University – Paris IV, before she joined the Beaux-Arts de Paris. She followed a double degree between the Beaux-Arts and l’École des Métiers du Cinéma d’Animation in Angoulême, where she learned character animation techniques which she questions through her practice. With the work of 3d printing and frames, she translates the experience of film in the exhibition space, where drawing becomes continuous with the thread of the printer. She graduated from l’École Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Paris in September 2024.

 

A meeting in the form of an open studio is scheduled for Wednesday 12th March at 18:00. The open studio will be held in Polish.
