Open studio: Camille Demirian

The artistic residency will conclude with an open studio session featuring Camille Demirian, taking place on Wednesday, March 12, at 6:00 PM. The event will offer an opportunity to explore the artist’s work and engage in a conversation about her creative practice. The meeting will be held in Polish.

The artistic residency, organized in collaboration between Goyki 3 and the French Institute in Warsaw, will take place in the first half of March 2025. This is the third edition of a short-term residency program dedicated to French visual artists. The program focuses on artistic research, the exploration of themes developed in the projects, and fostering connections with the nature and history of Sopot. The overarching theme of the year at Goyki 3 in the field of visual arts is work. The artist will carry out her project in Sopot from March 3 to March 15, 2025.

About the artist:

Camille Demirian was born and works in Paris. Before pursuing art studies, she earned a degree in philosophy at the Sorbonne (Paris IV). During her time at the Academy of Fine Arts, she completed a dual diploma at l’École des Métiers du Cinéma d’Animation in Angoulême, where she gained expertise in film animation—a technique she now critically reinterprets in her artistic practice.

Working with 3D printing and the frame as an object, she seeks to translate the cinematic experience into the exhibition space, revealing the continuity between drawing and the printer’s thread. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris in September 2024.

Project partner: The French Institute in Warsaw.
